Officer Elections - Officer and Chapter Meetings - Committee Meetings

The Rossville High School Future Business Leaders of America Chapter operates under the Rossville High School FBLA Chapter Constitution. The constitution follows the FBLA state and national bylaws closely. Chapter meetings conform to practices and procedures outlined in Robert’s Rules of Order, Newly Revised. The organizational chart below shows the chain of command that creates unity in order for the Rossville High School FBLA Chapter to head down the road to their success!

Chapter Officer Elections. Potential officers are selected by the nominating committee of outgoing officers and approved by the chapter adviser. The nominated members display strong leadership ability and are responsible individuals. These candidates were then voted on and approved by a unanimous vote by the current chapter members. The newly elected officers were installed at the chapter's Annual Awards Night according to the guidelines outlined in the FBLA handbook.

Officer and Chapter Meetings. The chapter officers held the first official officers' meeting on August 9 in order to originate goals and project ideas for the upcoming school year. Throughout the school year, officers continued to meet once a month to discuss chapter business. Also a chapter meeting is scheduled once a month for all members to attend. The chapter president conducts the meetings with advice from the parliamentarian. These meetings allow officers to discuss upcoming events with all FBLA members, as well as provide an opportunity for members to offer individual suggestions and opinions on chapter issues.

Committee Meetings. The Rossville FBLA Chapter has several standing committees, which are chaired by local chapter officers. The committees meet at individually set times and are asked to give committee reports at officer and chapter meetings.
