| Rossville
has a population of 1068 and is located along Highway 24
in northeast Kansas, 15 miles from Topeka, the state
capital. A new high school was built in Rossville in
1980 to help facilitate the many needs of the growing
community. Located within the city are two banks, a
grocery store, a pharmacy and flower store combination,
a hardware store, several gas stations, a grain
elevator, two restaurants, a nursing home, and
professional medical services provided by a dental
office, an optometrist office, a family health clinic,
and a veterinary clinic. The Rossville school system is
located on the east side of the Kaw Valley School
District #321. The high school educationally serves
Rossville and the small communities of Delia, Willard,
Valencia, Maple Hill, and parts of Topeka. There are 206
students currently enrolled at Rossville High School. |
